How much does direct cremation cost?Direct cremation includes: removal from place of death; arrangements; placing obituaries in newspapers (but not the newspaper charges (if any); container for deceased to be placed in for creamation; on-site refrigeration for up to 48 hours; cremation process, which is performed by Jackie on-site; obtaining necessary and required permits and authorizations required; an inexpensive urn (if another isn't desired); filing of insurance forms; applying for VA benefits; a private family identification viewing; currently $1,795.00. If an individual qualifies for a Medicaid funeral, we are an authorized funeral provider.
