Obituary of Charles D. Bower

Charles D. Bower, age 66, of Tioga, PA, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 19, 1948 in Elmira, NY, a son of Stanley and Helen (Hulslander) Bower. He was employed at Sears Auto Center in Horseheads, NY as a mechanic prior to his retirement. Charles enjoyed working on equipment, building ponds, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jamie (Sproule) Bower; his mother, Helen; a son, Charles Bower, Jr. of Middlebury, PA; 2 daughters, Alicia (Craig Classen) Rice and Erica Buck, both of Tioga, PA; 5 grandchildren, Kyler, Kody, Kaytlynn, Brianna, and McKenzie; 2 brothers, Thomas (Lynn) Bower of Middlebury, PA, and Daniel (Beth) Bower of Tioga, PA; 3 brothers-in-law, John (Wanda) Sproule of Tioga, PA, James (Pam) Sproule, Jr., and Kevin (Missy) Sproule, both of Pine City, NY; 2 sisters-in-law, Bertha Bower of Erin, NY and Kim (Mike) Kinney of Horseheads, NY. Charles is predeceased by his father, Stanley Bower; a brother, Donald Bower, and his father and mother-in-law, James and Frances Sproule. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 31, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be immediately following at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Debbie Button officiating.
