Obituary of Margaret Jeannette Heffner

Margaret Jeannette Heffner, age 94, of Lawrenceville, PA, died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. She was born November 28, 1920 in Lawrenceville, a daughter of Raymond and Lydia (Bump) Deats. Margaret worked as an inspector/cutter at Corning Glass Works before her retirement. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women's Club, Lawrenceville; Local Union 1000 Flint Glass Workers; CIO; Rebecca's; American Legion Post 235, and the Herbert Lee Webster American Legion Auxiliary. Margaret is survived by 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Robert L. and Aldean Heffner, Tioga, PA, Elwood L. and Joan Heffner, Tioga, PA, Donald G. and Maria Heffner, Susquehanna, PA, Richard and Barbara Heffner, Lindley, NY; 5 daughters and sons-in-law, Pauline G. Hambright of Mifflintown, PA, Stella L. and Edward Eisenmenger of Rochester, NY, Velma J. Champion of Canandaigua, NY, Carol A. and Calvin Six of Lawrenceville, PA, Sandra K. and Gerald Woodard of Lawrenceville, PA; 49 grandchildren; 103 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Samuel Leroy Heffner, on August 29, 2009; 3 brothers, Phillip, Gerald and Richard Deats; 2 sisters, Marion Farr and Lillian Heffner; several grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. and Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Mary Dotson officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, PA.
