Obituary of William N. Everett

William "Bill" N. Everett, age 79, of Millerton, PA, died Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He was born April 18, 1936 in Elmira, NY, a son of Norman and Leora (White) Everett. Bill would have celebrated a 17th anniversary with his wife, Margaret "Peggi" Everett on November 5th. Bill was a service Technician for Sysco Foods before he retired. During his working years, he was a licensed auctioneer, worked for Ward LaFrance, hauled milk, built houses and had an excavating business. Bill was on the Board of Directors for Alder Run Cemetery Assoc. and did maintenance and served as secretary for the cemetery. Bill is survived by his wife, Peggi; a son, William Everett, Jr. of Millerton, PA; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Roxann and Timothy Buck of Millerton, PA, Kelly and Richard Sheets of Pine City, NY; 2 step-daughters, Colleen Harris of Catskill, NY, Kelly (David) Diehr of Pine City, NY; 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, John Everett in 1991; his first wife and high school sweetheart, Vanetta Everett, whom he was married to for 43 years; a sister, Janis Vinsek. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 15, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 P.M. with Pastor Jennifer Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Alder Run Cemetery, Millerton, PA.
