Obituary of Edmond F. Owens

Edmond F. Owens, age 93, of Covington, PA, died Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at his home. He was born October 27, 1921 in Mansfield, PA, a son of Edmond and Esther (Clark) Owens. Edmond worked as a parts manager at Elm Chevrolet and Elmira Chrysler Plymouth before his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife, Lena A. (Paris) Owens on November 16, 2012. Edmond was a member of the Covington Church of Christ (Disciples) and was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed bowling, an avid camper, and helped with bingo at the Covington Community Center. Edmond is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Alan and Sharon Owens of Elmira, NY, James and Maureen Owens of Covington, PA; 2 grandsons, Keith (Jaime) and Timothy (Kim) Owens; 2 great grandchildren, Bryan and Michael Owens; a sister, Linda Holton of FL. He was predeceased by his wife, Lena, six brothers and sisters. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.
